Mentoring

After teaching adult artists for over twenty years in a range of mediums, I’ve had the opportunity to support artists through many stages of their creative lives. I understand the challenges of building a sustainable studio practice, staying focused, and growing within a chosen medium. If you're looking for personal support to strengthen your art practice, I offer mentoring tailored to your needs—either online via Zoom or in person at my studio.

Mentoring is open to artists at any level and in any medium. Sessions are customized to meet your goals, whether you're looking for support with technique, creative direction, professional development, or building confidence in your work.

PRICE: $60 per hour/2 hour minimum

Personalized Critique
Thoughtful feedback on your work, with attention to composition, design, technique, and clarity of vision. We’ll look at both individual pieces and the direction of your practice as a whole.

Clarifying Your Voice
Support in finding or refining the heart of your work. Through conversation, writing prompts, and targeted exercises, we’ll explore what drives your art, how to communicate that clearly, and ways to build a consistent studio rhythm.

Sharing Your Work
Guidance on presenting your work professionally. This may include portfolio reviews, artist statements, resumes, gallery outreach, marketing strategies, and navigating shows or exhibition opportunities.

Materials & Process Support
Hands-on or demonstration-based help with your chosen materials. My experience includes multiple drawing materials, extensive experience with water-mixable oils, acrylics, collage, and mixed media.
