This painting expresses both serenity and vitality and was inspired by an experience that I had in France many years ago. My goal with this painting was to evoke energy and peace for the viewer. This acrylic painting is 20"x20" on a wooden cradle panel and is ready to hang or to frame to enhance your decor.

Hearts on Fire
While making this painting, I applied paint in a free manner and discovered that hearts kept showing up in the work without my attempting to put them in the piece. Most of those hearts are completely obscured. However, the the fact that they did present themselves explains the title of this uplifting acrylic on canvas painting. The painting has been created on gallery wrapped canvas with white sides and is ready to hang.
Designer Tip: Collectors have asked how I would recommend displaying this painting. Although it is ready to hang given the nature of the gallery wrapped canvas, for a contemporary decor, some people prefer the appearance of a frame. I would recommend a "floating" type of frame in a color that matches your decor if this is your preference.

Beneath the Waves of Your Heart
When it comes to my creative process, many often wonder if I have a concrete plan before starting a painting. Truth be told, I usually don't. I thrive on the freedom to explore, allowing the artwork to unfold organically. "Beneath the Waves of Your Heart" was no exception. As I worked on it, my main focus was to capture movement and power, letting each brushstroke guide me along the way, while it ultimately guides, you, the viewer to see what you imagine in the work.
This painting is a diptych designed to hang side-by-side as shown. It is painted on a gallery wrapped canvas ready to hang for a contemporary appearance. For a more traditional look, both panels may be framed to match your decor.
The painting is acrylic on canvas, and is a total of 24"x50."

Incandescently Aware
Inspired by a visit to the Spirited Garden on Jeju Island, this piece encapsulates nature's splendor and resilience, but also the distinctly human response to something that reaches our souls. I was often moved to tears as I walked along the paths of this incredible garden, knowing that I would have to make a series of paintings that evoked the experience of being in this magical place. By incorporating collage elements, I wanted to symbolize both the time it took for the garden to flourish and the layers of personal history that shape our emotional experiences.
Inspired by the garden’s creator and his unwavering vision, I aimed to capture the essence of his dedication and the profound impact of nature’s serenity and vigor.
This abstract acrylic and collage painting, composed of two vibrant 20"x20" panels totaling 20"x41", is rich in texture, capturing both time's passage and human complexity. It was created on wooden cradle panels and is ready to hang.

Inspired by an internal unease that I was experiencing as I was painting, and the bonsai trees of the Spirited Garden in Jeju Island, South Korea whose memory gave me comfort, "And Then...." represents both tranquility and turmoil. Tools such as trowels, sandpaper, and silicone bowl scrapers add unique marks and textures, showcasing the resilience of the human spirit and the beauty of transformation.

Dance of Illusions
"Dance of Illusions," a 16"x16" piece made using acrylic and collage on a wooden cradle panel.
This piece started as a non-objective exploration and began showing signs of a landscape. I simply followed that path not knowing where it would lead. As you explore the layers and subtle shifts of color, you'll find depth and complexity within the serene, reflective beauty of the landscape. Upon closer inspection, you will see unexpected visual elements that evoke history and the passage of time.
Same Sky, Different World
This painting is an example of my work in abstract expressionism, marking one of my most abstract paintings yet. The journey of creating this painting began with a surge of intense emotions, and through dynamic, sweeping brushstrokes and vibrant interplay of colors, my goal was to convey a powerful sense of movement and energy.
I wanted this painting to serve as a reminder of our shared human experiences under the same sky, yet often in vastly different worlds. Through art, I hope to touch hearts and inspire resilience, showing that even in moments of deep emotion, there's a path to creating something meaningful and beautiful.
