This painting was made during a painting excursion with the Washington Society of Landscape Painters in August at Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens in Washington, DC. It was a beautiful day and I wanted to capture the essence of the experience among my painting buddies, and all the visitors to the gardens to see the amazing lotus flowers.
