Sometimes you fall in love with a piece of work but need something made specifically for your space, something that gives your room a little more air, a little more room to breathe.

I accept a limited number of commissions each year. Each one is an original, abstract piece, inspired by nature but built from imagination rather than a specific photograph or scene. If you're hoping for a literal rendering of a place you've traveled to, this likely isn't the right fit. If you're drawn to the feeling and atmosphere of my work and want that translated into a piece made for your walls, your palette, and your space, I'd love to talk.

The process starts with a conversation: what draws you to the work, where the piece will live, and what you want it to bring to the room.

  • No two paintings are ever exactly alike. I can use an existing piece as a point of departure, but your painting will be an original made especially for you.

  • Not quite — my work isn't representational. I paint from imagination, drawing on the feeling of nature rather than a literal scene. A commission captures a mood or atmosphere, not a photograph.

  • We'll discuss the overall palette and the space where the painting will live. Photos of your room, fabric swatches, or paint chips are helpful. I retain the artistic freedom needed to create a cohesive finished piece.

  • Size depends on the project and surface. We'll determine dimensions during our first conversation.

  • Pricing depends primarily on size and complexity, and is consistent with my available original work. You'll receive a firm price before deciding whether to proceed.

  • Yes. A 50% non-refundable deposit reserves your commission and allows me to begin. The remaining balance is due when the painting is complete.

  • Timing varies with the size of the piece and my studio schedule. I'll give you an estimated completion timeframe before we begin.

  • Yes. We'll discuss the process upfront, including when you'll have a chance to see the work as it develops.

  • That's fine. The first step is simply a conversation. If an existing piece would be a better fit, I'm happy to explore that with you too.
