I truly enjoy working in series. This painting is part of a series of paintings inspired by a magazine from the 1950s that my mother (and first art teacher) collected. I never forgot leafing through these magazines as a child and teenager. The paintings from the series look nothing like the images in the magazines, but those images provide a jumping-off point for me to explore abstracted landscape imagery. This piece is framed in a wooden 2.5" black frame and is ready to hang.
