Breakthrough is the first in a new series of paintings that were inspired by peeling paint and distressed frescoes. Painting this piece was almost meditative and I was thrilled with the end result. Although abstract, there is a landscape sensibility to this contemporary acrylic painting. The piece is framed in a contemporary black frame.
