Terrain, 12x12 inches, Pastel, ©Lynn Goldstein SOLD Thanks so much to those of you who judged from the 3 pieces I submitted to the Pastel Society of America exhibition. I can tell you that no matter the choice of the judges, I am the winner having all of you supporting my art making journey. I am grateful. You all spoke, and Remain Standing was selected by a wide margin, which I find interesting since Terrain (shown above) was selected by the judges. I shipped the painting to NYC a few weeks ago, and it is now hanging in the exhibition. As mentioned before, I am particularly happy about having my work selected this year. As a result of that selection, I am now officially a signature member of the Pastel Society of America. You may read my feelings about gaining that status here. What I didn't tell you was exactly how competitive this show truly is. To give you an idea, there were around 1298 submissions and less that 180 paintings were selected. Those are some daunting numbers to say the least. So, gratitude is the word of the day for me! The winner of the pack of notecards is being contacted via email because I want to protect people's privacy. Again, thanks to everyone who gave me their opinions. If you are in NYC between now and September 29, I hope that you go to see the show. Here are the particulars: Enduring Brilliance, September 4-29 at the National Arts Club, 15 Gramercy Park South, New York, NY. (The people's choice) Remain Standing, 12x12 inches, Pastel ©Lynn Goldstein $575
