South American Inspirations

The month of December was a trip... literally. My hubby and I visited the Galapagos Islands and Peru. I had expected to be wowed by the animals in the Galapagos, and was. That said, I was truly blown away by the stunning and breathtaking beauty of the Andes Mountains. I can't seem to get over the feeling of flying while having my feet firmly planted on the ground in the Cloud Forest.

Our experiences influence our art, and I suspect that my work will be changed by the experience in ways that I may not even realize yet. Stay tuned.

To share the  journey, I have compiled some of the most gorgeous or interesting things that we were able to see. Let me know which is your favorite in the comments below. Enjoy!

Wow! Thanks for sharing these truly awesome photos, Lynn! The slideshow starts out with a bang in the spectacular View of Macchu Pichu, and the picture of the red-footed booby bird is wonderful!! Really, all of them are great and your comments about them are, too. I'm glad you got to travel there!

Hey Lucy, Thanks for taking a look. Machu Picchu IS spectacular. We were able to get great pics due to the fabulous weather. I loved the red-footed boobies. I loved their coloring and the fact that they are the only bird with feet like this that can grab onto branches. Lynn

Fantastic photos, Lynn. I especially like the ones in Machu Picchu. The light and clouds just made the scene exquisite. I'm glad you had such a great trip!
