Do you want to work in oil paints without solvents and other nasty ingredients?
While in college, I enjoyed using oil paint.
As I got older, I became more concerned about the health ramifications of using solvents. Water mixable oils, solved the problem and I would love to show you how to use them! This workshop is appropriate for artists who wish to work in conventional oils as well. What is being taught can be done with both types of oil paint. With Covid sidelining in person face-to-face classes, I have designed this workshop virtually so that we can learn in the safety of our own homes. You will need a computer and a good internet connection to access the course.

In this 2-day workshop, you will get an overview of this wonderful medium.
Students will provide their own photographic reference materials to compose a painting.
Color, composition, design, value, light patterns, and underpainting techniques
will be discussed as will the qualities of specific brands of water mixable oil paint.
This workshop is appropriate for beginners to intermediate students with some drawing experience
who are looking to expand and understand how water mixable oil paint works.
Conventional oils may be used as well.
